Thirsty Thursday

Sitting pretty in the village of Newcastleton waiting to the ceildlh to start

Here’s me (of course) sitting very prettily (for a boy) in the village of Newscastleton waiting for the festivities to start. I have to hand my trusty bowl of water so that I can slurp whenever I feel like it. It was so hot that we had to put up an umbrella so that I could keep cool. Who’d have thought that would happen in Scotland! You can also just about see my Scottish Terrier Health Awareness ribbon peeking out through my beard!

A slightly different angle to “Thirsty Thursday” this week. Remember the post that displayed the ‘broken babies’ that me and Mama fixed? Well here’s the new babies that Dada felt he needed to buy to replace those broken babies. This time he bought four of them ‘cos he knows that Mama loves her coffee. Aren’t these cute! They’ve managed to stay in one piece throughout our journey from Scotland to Mablethorpe; they lived there for a couple of weeks, then me and Mama brought them back home to our ‘main house’ in Nottinghamshire. We’ve got quite a collection of scottie cups now, including broken ones that Mama won’t throw away.

Gus was never any good at getting across these pesky stepping stones with out falling into the stream. Here he’s taking an “forced” slurping – see the water pouring out of his beard. I do miss him. Mama says though, she I remind her of Gus when trying to cross the stepping stones ‘cos I too nearly always end up in the drink!
