Flashback Fridays

Whoa – another great picture of the three girls, October 2002. This was taken at Cragside in Rothbury, the home of the first Lord Armstrong, a great british inventor. Look at all the “burrs” Izzy has collected – we bet They all had fun trying to extract those! Apparently Cragside is His favourite place to visit. They’ve been there several times, but yet to take us – think we’ll remind Them that we’ve not been there yet!

Arhhhhhh!

This is Kelpie, with her one and only litter of babies, born March 2001. One of them is Poppy, our niece, who we still regularly see!

Kelpie wasn’t quite the Mother, her Mother (Izzy) had been – probably because Kelpie had a caesarian to get her babies out and when she woke up, there they were! We’re told They often had to chase Kelpie and get her to feed her babies and also gently hold her down, as she would rather being playing with them than being mother to them!

There would have been more babies for Kelpie, but she had an operation to remove some bladder stones and They thought it prudent to let her enjoy just being a pampered pooch!

Flashback Fridays

This is Kelpie’s first visit to Bridlington and the seaside. That’s Kelpie, the tiny one, being terrified of the hulking She-Monster! No. Kelpie loved it. This must have been in 1999 as well, ‘cos Kelpie still looks quite tiny.

We’ve all had our seaside initiation at Bridlington. It’s one of the finest stretches of beach in the UK, and it has a section for dogs – unfortunately though, humans without dogs often “intrude” – but we don’t really mind …… really.

Oh My …. look at all that hair She’s got ………..

Flashback Fridays

This is back to August 1999; Cornwall and the time we in England experienced a Total Eclipse of the Sun. In this picture, from left to right is Agi, Kelpie and Izzy. They took the girls to Cornwall as that was one of the few places in the United Kingdom that you could experience a total eclipse. All five of them (3 scotties and 2 humans) slept in a Renault Scenic. Apparently it was brilliant.

This is a photo of the girls, just after their breakfasts, on a very very quiet country lane, patiently waiting for the eclipse to begin. We’ve found photos of the eclipse, but ‘cos there’s no Scotties in them, we thought no one would be interested – we’re not!!!!!

They all then went on a couple of days touring around Cornwall before returning home.

Flashback Fridays

Whoa – we’ve moved on a bit  but not much – This is the year 2000 and its Gus and Kelpie’s first birthday. This was taken in our back garden and She just about managed to get two 12month old Scotties to sit still for a nano second!

You can see the “man” Gus grew into – he has that magnificent head and beautifully big nose! Can’t see that I look like Kelpie though, other than scruffy!
