Mama’s got a new “baby” …….

This was one of the birthday gifts she received yesterday. Happy Birthday Mama – hope you have plenty more ….. birthday’s that is as you’ve got plenty of “new arrivals”!
Kyla – in memoriam
In memory of one of our dearest blog friends, we have chosen “lovebirds” to be our theme for 2015. I know Kyla wasn’t quite the ‘lovebird’ and Kismet will definitely refute the fact the she is of the lovebird genus, but we’ve trawled the wordpress site and this is the only suitable offering we came up with – sorry Kyla, I’ll make it up to you when we meet in that beautiful rainbow garden.
But folks! For now, please accept our offering. We always loved you, despite the fact that Stuart got in first, but you’ll alway share a part of my heart.

Yesterday one of our oldest and dearest friends crossed the rainbow bridge. Today I shall spend time remembering, with a smile, a wonderful little scottie called Kyla. I’ll miss you, my dear friend.
Kaci here with Kali at my side. In Christmas season, there’s a lot of getting and receiving gifts. December 2002, we received a gift from heaven. Today, we had to give her back. In September, we learned that Kyla’s melanoma spread and she had 1 to 6 months left with 3 being most likely. It was three months. For those 3 months, Kyla was pampered-anything for Kyla. Earlier last week, she started going poo in the house even though she had access to the dog run 24/7. We could have lived with that. She also started to not eat her apple that was on top of her food. She was on a pain med that had a side effect of hunger and normally Kyla was very food driven and perpetually hungry so a refusal to eat something was serious. My Bad!
So, having 5 minutes before Mama leaves for her own Dr Pokey, I thought I’d do a whirlwind round the world trip. But Hey! where’s my blog roll gone. Ooops – sorry Puppers, I seem to have omitted that in my change of style for December. Any Hoo! it’ll all be sorted in a minute and I’ll be back with my “Dogs Blog” to come and visit y’all!
