Happy Birthday Poppy

HAPPY BARKDAY POPPY

Today Poppy is 11 years old!! Poppy was born to our sadly departed sister Kelpie. Poppy lives in a wonderful home with two highly devoted “humans” to pandered to her every whim and fancy. Until recently, Poppy shared this home & love with William, who sadly crossed over the rainbow bridge at the end of February.

But today is Poppy’s day. We won’t be seeing her today, though we’re planning on meeting sometime next week. We have become very close friends with Poppy’s Mama and we regularly meet up.

We send our warmest wishes to Poppy and know that she will have a wonderful day.

Fins Foto Fun

We STILL can’t get on the computer, even though, as Daisy’s reminded us, there are 3 of us and 1 of Her. She has a different excuse this week, and as we’ve been told that we’ll be benefiting from it, we’d better not grumble too much.

So, here’s our humble Foto Fun offering – can’t believe a whole week has gone by – we’ve got sooooooo much to mutt-er about – so watch this space (yeah ….. betcha She hogs the ‘puter next week – we’re taking bets!)

This is our beloved, but dearly departed sister, Kelpie …….

Foto Fun

Sorry! Can’t get Her off Her blog long enough to post something decent about us Scotties. Who cares what She’s up to – we don’t, unless it involves us then we care a lot. So for the 1 minute She’s given us, we’ve only just enough time to send you some photo fun.

We’ve decided we’ll have serious words with Her next week and get a timetable sorted so we Scotties get quality time on our blog. In the meantime we hope you enjoy this photo. Have a good weekend – RooOOOodles xxxxxx

Chatty Tuesday

Oh! If only! Now that She’s got her own blog, we can’t get to the computer anymore ….. its so unfair! We’ve got things to do, like replying to the Award thingy that Kyla mentioned and we need time to be able to do that right. So I suppose that whilst we can’t get our paws on the keyboard, we’d might as well start to jot down a few notes. Okay – so we’ll do it that way.

Finlay & the Cygnet

We’ve still be out on our walks, at least She’s not forgotten about those! The Blackbirds and Robins are building nests in our gardens, so we’ll have lots of babies to sniff out later. A Heron took one of our Ghost Carp (Jacob or Marley, she doesn’t know which) and so theres a big trellis board placed over part of the new pond to try and discourage any repeat performance. It seems that the fish like to “hang” around under this so They are thinking of putting in another bridge thingy – that’d be fun, it will be another way we can get over the pond to the other side – hope it will have paw rails like the other one – we’ll speak to Her about that.

Went camping in our motorhome last week – great fun – lots and lots of walks (not that we don’t get lots anyway – but these were different walks, with different smells and lots more pee mail to leave) She saw 4 pesky squirrels whilst we did manage to catch a glimpse of one!  Not got many photos of our long weekend, simply because we went to this place last year, and we’re going again soon, so we hear.

Anyway, She’s off the Tai Chi now. We’ve noticed that She’s not fed us …. we’ll it is rather early and we did have a late breakfast, so we’re sure we can wait a little while longer, well maybe me & Bobby can, but Gus? Now that’s a different matter.

Gus has a girlfriend!

By Finlay

Wow! That’s something. Now, if you know Gus, like we do, you’ll know that he’s not into cuddly stuff or sitting on laps. He likes to stay on the floor and sleep. Every now and then he’ll let Her roll him over onto his back so that She can tickle his chest. This isn’t something he wants – it’s something She thinks she needs to do. So, today we go for a walk with a friend of Hers who’s brought along Eric, a Jack Russell. After the walk, They have coffee and Bobby and Eric start playing and it’s at this point that Gus decides that he wants some cuddling. So, he jumps onto the settee and sits with Her friend …… for ages and ages!

Bobby and I (Finlay) think he’s going soft in the head – well he is 13 after all.

Anyway, less of the picking on Gus; we all had a really lovely walk and Eric is fun to be with, he’s got oodles of energy and “springs” in his legs ‘cos he can’t half jump high!

We all had carrots and bonios on our return. Eric was a little doubtful about the bonios (he’s got little teeth, not like us Scotties) so he had to have his bonio broken up into small pieces. He didn’t eat all of the pieces though ‘cos Bobby kept “lobbying” Eric – it was fun to watch.

We all had our half baths after Eric and Her Friend left and now we are happily awaiting our tuna, rice and cottage cheese dinner.

Hope you all have a great weekend
