Dedicated to my beloved Scotties
Well can you believe it! This is me and Fin, back in the day. Looks like we’ve received the Midas Touch – oh if only I hear Mama whisper.
Anyway, I likes this look, not too sure about the colour of the water we are supposed to be slurping – looks a bit too red for my liking!
Mama recalls this photo with some amusement. She’d decided that she fancied a dinghy to mess around with on the beach up at Alnmouth, during one of their many holidays there. What she doesn’t tell anyone, is that she doesn’t like waves, even those tiny ones! So this is as far as she got with her dinghy adventure – you can see that it’s not too deep as Kelpie is there, keeping a watchful eye on her!
On well, she cannot make any claims on discovering any New Worlds out there – other than discovering how silly she looks!
Those pesky stepping stones always caused us trouble – except for Finlay – who scampered across , no problem. But me and Gus, well Gus always fell in, and I wasn’t too clever at scampering across them like Fin and often tried to jump too far and ended up being beached.
Went across them the other day – Fabi was carried (what a baby!) and I tried to get completely across, but Mama had to come and rescue me, and as usual I ended up getting wetter than I really wanted to. However, it was worth it ‘cos we had a fabulous walk in the wonderful spring sunshine.
Does anyone else have trouble navigating stuff like stepping stones?

This is one of their holiday snaps from before 2002, Mama can’t really remember the date, but it was taken at Almouth, a beautiful little place in Northumberland. They spent a lot of holiday time there as well as in Scotland.
You can see that the girls look they they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I hope they weren’t ‘tortured’ too much with the grooming tools!
