Thirsty Thursday

Gus was never any good at getting across these pesky stepping stones with out falling into the stream. Here he’s taking an “forced” slurping – see the water pouring out of his beard. I do miss him. Mama says though, she I remind her of Gus when trying to cross the stepping stones ‘cos I too nearly always end up in the drink!

Flashback Fridays

camping

We three boys (and Dada of course) are settled down after arriving at a local campsite for a long weekend with friends. Camping is heaven and hell for us Scotties – the aroma of burning sausages and burgers and all the dropped food – none of which we seem to be allowed. How very dare they! We could’ve kept the campsite pristinely clean. Humans!

wait for me

Wow – this was way before I was born! This is Mama, trying to set sail for the New World! Kelpie is determined to try and join her, but Mama told me that Kelpie was a little worried about the tiny waves and kept barking and barking until Mama gave up any hope of seeing the New World.

Apparently, Dada says Mama was frightened too, of the tiny waves, so there was little chance of her getting much further!

When Mama met Cesar Millan. Yes, Cesar came to the United Kingdom a few years back, and Dada bought them VIP tickets to go see the man himself. Sadly we weren’t allowed to attend even though the whole show as about doggies. The VIP tickets gave them the opportunity of staying behind after the rest of the audience had to leave, and also they got the chance of asking Cesar a question. Nearly all 300 VIP guests wrote a question and put it in a box which was then taken back stage and five questions were chosen. And  …… guess what …… Mama got her question chosen. She had to stand up and repeat the question to Cesar – this is him responding to her question. She wanted to know whether he would be prepared to work with pet organisations in the UK (she had a vested interest at the time ‘cos she was the Secretary of the largest UK scottish terrier rescue charity in the UK – Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme) and she hoped she could get him working with her. He replied that he was interested, but he needed to finish off some stuff in America first then he would be back! Oh boy Mama was really made up.

When the Snow came ….. The snow was soooo deep that Mama had to clear a path for us to plod along. This is me on my front drive, deciding which little pathway to follow. Yeah …. I know this is not as bad as some of you guys get, but for us here in the UK it brought the country to a standstill. In fact we only need one tiny tiny snowflake and we go into meltdown!!!!
