Monday Musings

Here’s a thought for you ….. read on, it will all become clearer (we hope).

Izzy, Kelpie & Agi

In the beginning we were One. One made Two and so we were “Two”, then tragically back to “One”, and then another Two joined us. At some time the second Two made Three (plus others, but thats another story for another day … still with us, concentrate!). We remained “Three” for many years, then sadly One left us for the Rainbow Bridge, and Three and  Two just became “Two” again. But then Two made Two more (plus others … again, later) and then we were “Four”. And then …. one of Two’s earlier “makings” came back to us and we made “Five”. For a couple of years we were very happy, but then Three had to leave us for the Rainbow Bridge, quickly followed by the second Two, and that left us back at “Three”.

Three Sparhawk Boys (Bobby Fin & Gus)

We “Three” are the Sparhawk Scotties bringing to you these weird blogs – but that’s not the reason we started this one.

The real reason for this blog is when we were “Four” and “Five”, nearly everyone who saw us stopped and said to our Mama “you’ve got your handsful there!” and they still do even though we are now only “Three”  – probably ‘cos we are a handsome trio.

So what do you guys get called when you’re about and about?

And what should we call a collection of Scotties?

We’re gonna start the ball rolling by suggesting a collection of Scotties should be called a “Handful”

Let’s hear what you all think and share our thoughts.

Moaning Mama

We haven’t got a clue what all the moaning, and muttering is all about. She does go on some!

Sparhawk Roundup …

  • It’s good to camouflage yourselves every now and then
  • It’s funny to hear Her muttering
  • There’s lots of other nice things we can use in the woods to cover ourselves in!
  • Think we’d better let her cool down first!

Weird Wednesday

Following on from our friends Down Under Daisy, and their escapades in their own woods, we  remember coming across our own “monster in the woods” ….

This photo was taken by our Dad (we’ve taught him everything he knows) during a camping holiday in Clumber Park (one of the forested places Robin Hood is supposed to have lived in).

And what a monster it is. We called it a scottie-saurus. Do you think Robin Hood left it behind all those long years ago? Or was it there when Robin Hood was around?

We need to know if you’ve come across “monsters”. If so, why not share them with us. We need to know what’s out there to protect our “peeps”.

Facts for today …

  • There are still monsters out there
  • Not just here …. but there as well
  • They lurk in the most obvious places
  • Lets root them out ….
  • Well maybe tomorrow ….

I’m a baby again!

Mum’s just got over a kidney infection and cheered herself up by looking at baby pictures of us.

As the “Mutt-ers” section belongs to me (Bobby) she thought she’d share a few snaps of when I was little. Apparently she says that I’ve not changed at all and approach dogs in the same naughty inquisitive manner as these pictures suggest.

Well I am a Scottie after all, what does she expect.

So how does she know it’s me, I hear you ask. Well, as I was from a litter of 4 boys, to identify us all, each of us had a different colour. Mine was grey ‘cos she named me after Greyfriar’s Bobby – how cool’s that!

By the way, Fin had a blue ribbon as she had already picked a proper name for him (Sparhawk Sapphire Knight, hence blue ribbon) but I stole ended up being given that name – but that’s another story, for another day. Enjoy these few shots of me being very cute.

Do you know who you were named after? Why not share this with us here.

You’re having a laugh!

Rolling Finlay

So, the weather was very hot on one of our morning walks. We walked so slowly so as not to get overheated, that Finlay decided the pace was slow enough to have a roll in the grass.

Here he is, mouth wide open, making lots of Scottie noise but obviously having great fun.

What a great way to pass the day away!

Few interesting facts for 13th July

Nice try Bob

Oh so comfy Bob!

oooooh …. this bed is soooo comfy. I know I shouldn’t be here, but well ….. I am.

They don’t seem to mind too much. She wouldn’t have taken a photo if she did, now would she!

What have you done today, that you shouldn’t have, but actually got away with it?
