Flashback Friday

sandy girls

This is a photo of my real Mama (Izzy) (far right) my older sister Kelpie (far left) and Agnes, Mama’s first scottie and the reason we are all here.

This is one of their holiday snaps from before 2002, Mama can’t really remember the date, but it was taken at Almouth, a beautiful little place in Northumberland. They spent a lot of holiday time there as well as in Scotland.

You can see that the girls look they they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I hope they weren’t ‘tortured’ too much with the grooming tools!

Flashback Friday

boathouse

This dates back to August 2001, when Mama and Dada celebrated their wedding with a belated honeymoon at The Roughly in the Scottish Borders. A couple of very dear friends joined them. This is Mama struggling to get out of the private Loch with her friend and a couple of scotties watching!

Mama said she didn’t want to put her feet down because the bottom was so muddy. I think Agi was in the boat with Dada, who took this photo and Izzy, Kelpie, William and Poppy were there at the boathouse too.

I visited this Cottage in July last year and I can truly say that it is a magical place – I now know why Mama and Dada really loved it and went there often – at least I’ve now been there too!

Sleepy Bob

This is me. Sleeping. Rather well, don’t you think. I seem to have lots of photos of me sleeping. I think it’s something I do really well. And you know what? It really doesn’t use up that much energy. So, if you think you need to do something today, then why not try sleeping!

Finlay - bad hair day

This is my beloved brother Finlay (God rest his soul) having a “Bad Hair Day” way back when – he looks like something that’s come out of a cave having lived in it for a trillion years.

Unfortunately Mama wouldn’t have allowed him to keep that look for long!

How long do you guys manage to go without being caught and groomed? Sadly for me it’s only about a week now – and that’s Fabi’s fault – Mama is trying to be better organised with this new thing that’s joined our household …. oh where are those Flashback Fridays when you need them?

Flashback Friday

Today is ……

My Birthday. “Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday Dear Me, Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeee”

Yay!!!! I’m 11 years old today, so I’m combining a “Today is ….. “ with a Flashback Friday – all about meeeeeee! Here’s 11 years worth of me – hope ya’ll sitting comfy-like! I won’t bore you with ‘captions’ for these photos – I’m in every single one, and it’s quite obvious what I’m doing. Enjoy. Yap! Yap!

Flashback Friday

Happy Wall

This is Mama and Dada’s “Happy Wall”. It covers one wall of their bedroom. It has photos dating back to 1991 on them. I can see Mama’s first puppy Agnes (aka Agi) who arrived in her life in January 1991 (Agi was born 11.11.90 she sadly crossed the rainbow bridge 3.12.02 a couple of months before I was born). I can see me as a puppy with Finlay, and me as a more mature (he! he!) scottie. I can see Fin-Fin with a trophy win from one of his Scottie Shows. I can see a “tiddle” my real mama-dog made when she was only 6 months old – it looks like a scottie – can you see where it is on this happy wall?

I can see my real mama-dog, sister and Agi at Mama and Dada’s wedding and I can see lots of places we have all visited.

This is why is it called a ‘HAPPY WALL’  – it brings back lots and lots of happy memories …. of course now some of those memories do have a little bit of sadness attached to them because that is all they are ….. cherished memories of scotties long gone. This is only a portion of the Happy Wall as much as I could get in the photo!

Maybe next time I share a photo of my Happy Wall, there’ll be a photo of Fabi on it ….. but she’ll have had to have made me Happy first!

Hope you all have a grrrreat weekend. Apologies for not visiting much this last week, Scottish Terrier Health Network has been a bit busy for Mama – no don’t panic, it’s just a competition she’s running across there – a bit of ‘black and white fun’ but it’s kept me off the computer. Anyway puppers, have a great one – catch you all next week!
