5 Favourite Photos – Day 5

And finally, the 5 day Favourite Photo mania is at an end. After today I shall have my own bloggie back. But I shouldn’t grumble too much because the photos were all of me and my brothers, sister and mum, plus the odd one of that feisty little fireball called Fabianne.

This is the last photo in the 5 day photo challenge, Mama displayed on her Facebook page, and it shows the clan of five – oh those happy days. Here’s what Mama said about this photo …. “And finally, here’s the photo for Day Five : such happy happy memories of my Sparhawk clan of 5 beautiful beautiful scotties from 2007. Only Bobby Scottie Elkin remains by my side, the others are waiting for us across the Rainbow Bridge! One day, Izzy, Kelpie, Gus and Finlay, we’ll all meet again, and go scampering in the countryside, just like in this wonderful photo.”

5 Favourite Photos – Day 4

Ooops, forgot to post yesterday, and I should have because this Favourite Photo that Mama has chosen to display on her Facebook page, is just me, and me alone. Why I forgot to post I don’t know! Anyway here’s what she said about this photo : “So here’s the photo for Day Four. Obviously one of many favourite photos of Bobby Scottie Elkin – he does love to sit on the same seat as me, and to my surprise, some years back, on my birthday, the now sadly departed Scott Dearge sent me his rendition of my beloved Bobby. Rest in Peace Scott, your work goes on and on …..”

5 Favourite Photos – Day 3

Oh Boy …. Day 3 already? Where does the time go. So, here’s Mama’s photo for Day Three. Here’s what Mama has to say today : “This is Fabianne (or Fabi)  at the beach during one of our many seaside holidays we take at our chalet in Mablethorpe at SeaScape Chalets) I just love this little sandy face of hers. Here’s hoping that you’ll get to see many many happy little photos of my baby girl in the years to come!

I’ve noticed that she can be quite cute …. but she’s still a little fireball and has energy to burn – I’m just waiting for her to calm down a little, then maybe I’ll like her a bit.

5 Favourite Photos – Day 2

Finlay

Following on from yesterday’s post of highlighting Mama’s 5 favourite photos and posting one each day for the next five days, for Day Two she has chosen this photo of Finlay – here’s what she said about this photo on Facebook : Today’s photo is of my beloved Finlay, who succumbed to TCC in May 2013. The love I see in his eyes melts my heart completely ……..

Mmmm ….. I think I know what she means.

5 Favourite Photos

Our friends on Facebook asked us to post a favourite photo, each day for 5 days, and this is our first one, which we thought we’d share with you guys.

This photo was taken on 12th February 1999 when the last of the 4 scottie babies was born to Mama’s beloved Izzy. This litter included my older sister Kelpie, and the infamous Gus. You can see that the baby on the left is not quite dry yet. Izzy was the most attentive mother any scottie pup could have and years later, she would still clean us babies even when we had matured ….. and of course us boys loved it, except Gus!!!!

The v*t called with the results. It’s not what I hoped for.  The sample taken from my leg contained melanoma. This means that it has spread and there’s no sense removing the lymph node in my leg-it wouldn’t matter.  They decided not to put me through chemo or radiation. He knew a man who underwent radiation and said it was hell. While that man was in the waiting room for his radiation treatment, he talked to a woman who was doing the same thing. The woman said that radiation was much worse than childbirth. They’re letting me finish my life naturally as long as life is good. When it becomes a burden, They’ll help me cross. I have about 3 months left but it could be as short as one month or as long as six. I’m a terrier and I don’t surrender easily so I’m going for at least…
